Business
Acast AB (publ) (ACAST.ST) operates as a Sweden-based podcast company that provides an end-to-end marketplace connecting podcast creators, advertisers, and listeners through proprietary technology, including True Dynamic Ad Insertion for targeted ad placement, hosting, distribution to platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music, advanced listener analytics, monetization tools with multiple ad formats and omnichannel campaigns spanning audio, video, and social media, and AI-powered features like Predictive Demographics and Collections+ for enhanced revenue generation and audience targeting. The company hosts over 140,000 podcasts, serves more than 3,300 advertisers, and reaches one billion quarterly listens worldwide across Europe (including strong positions in the UK and Nordics), North America, and other markets. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Acast generates revenue primarily from podcast advertising services and creator monetization opportunities. Acast recently completed the acquisition of Wonder Media Network (WMN), a New York-based creative studio, on January 2, 2025, for USD 5.5 million in cash plus performance-based equity, forming Acast Creative Studios to bolster omnichannel production capabilities for clients including Nike and Pfizer; WMN contributed SEK 26.7 million in net sales during January-September 2025. In Q3 2025, Acast announced a partnership with Magnite to expand programmatic podcast advertising access to its premium inventory globally and set new financial targets of over 15% organic net sales CAGR through 2028 with a 10% EBIT margin by 2028, reaffirming 3-5% adjusted EBITDA and positive operating cash flow for full-year 2025. Additional recent developments include onboarding high-profile creators such as TED Audio Collective (176 million annual listens), Casefile True Crime (80 million annual listens), The Telegraph, and omnichannel partners like Squeezie and ShxtsNGigs; a CEO transition to Greg Glenday with Anders Hägg appointed CFO effective January 15, 2026; and exploration of a listing upgrade to Nasdaq Stockholm main market. These initiatives drove 35% net sales growth (41% organic) to SEK 642.1 million in Q3 2025, with ARPL rising 33% to SEK 0.58 and listens up 1% to 1.108 billion.
