Business
Cloudberry Clean Energy ASA develops, owns, operates, and manages renewable energy assets across the Nordics, including hydropower plants, wind farms, solar power projects, and energy storage solutions; its integrated business model spans Projects, Commercial, and Asset Management segments, with in-house capabilities in project origination, permitting, procurement, construction, operations optimization, mergers and acquisitions, and third-party asset management services. The company, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, conducts greenfield development and production activities primarily in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, with additional operations in Switzerland; it sells power through bilateral agreements, Nord Pool spot markets, electricity certificates, and guarantees of origin while prioritizing low environmental impact and local partnerships. Recent developments include the July 2025 completion of a strategic partnership with a European infrastructure investor, notably Swiss Life Asset Managers, to acquire control of a diversified small-scale hydro portfolio, doubling asset management volumes and enhancing development capabilities through Norhard Equipment AS ownership; a Q2 2025 partnership with OX2 divesting 60% of the Duvhällen wind project for hybrid development; a final investment decision with Hafslund for the 24MW/48MWh Dingelsundet battery in Sweden; a March 2025 Danish expansion completion; and the earlier acquisition of Captiva Group to strengthen Nordic renewable resources.
