Business
Luxbright AB (publ) develops and manufactures advanced microfocus X-ray tubes, generators, and integrated X-ray sources utilizing patented technology to deliver high-resolution imaging for international system integrators; core products include the M-series microfocus tubes for industrial non-destructive testing (NDT), medical radiology, research, and security applications, flash X-ray tubes in variants from 150 kV to 1 MV tailored for high-dose and defense uses, and the recently launched IX1 high-performance X-ray source featuring integrated tube, high-voltage power supply, control electronics, and heat management for battery inspection, additive manufacturing analysis, and cast component examination. The company, founded in 2012 and headquartered in Västra Frölunda near Gothenburg, Sweden, with an additional facility in Suzhou, China, serves global markets primarily in Europe and North America, targeting industrial NDT, defense, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors through a "Made-in-Sweden" production strategy emphasizing quality and supply chain reliability. Listed on Nasdaq First North since 2020 under ticker LXB.ST, Luxbright has achieved commercial breakthroughs including strategic partnerships with Fisica Inc. for exclusive supply of custom flash tubes yielding type approvals across four models and ongoing series production as of October 2025, extension of its agreement with VJ X-Ray for microfocus tube integration into generators, a new exclusive collaboration with a South Korean cold cathode technology firm for next-generation emitters, recent orders worth SEK 0.6 million from Fisica for beryllium-enhanced 150 kV variants and SEK 0.4 million for upgraded flash applications, plus financing from Vinnova to pursue European Defense Fund opportunities combining X-ray with drone tech; these developments, alongside a H1 2025 rights issue raising net SEK 14 million and broadened product portfolio with incremental variants, position the company for scaled production, recurring revenues, and expanded defense exposure.
