Business
Northern Superior Resources Inc. Northern Superior Resources Inc. is an exploration-stage junior mining company focused on the identification, acquisition, evaluation, and exploration of gold properties on the Canadian Shield, primarily in the provinces of Ontario and Québec; it also explores for silver and copper deposits. The company holds the largest land package in Québec's Chibougamau Gold Camp, exceeding 70,000 hectares across key projects including Philibert (75% owned, with an option to acquire 100%), Hazeur (adjacent to Philibert), Lac Surprise (adjacent to Nelligan and hosting the Falcon Zone), Chevrier (inferred resource of 652,000 ounces Au and indicated resource of 260,000 ounces Au), Croteau (inferred resource of 640,000 ounces Au), Monster Lake East, and Monster Lake West; these properties target district-scale gold mineralization near IAMGOLD Corporation's Nelligan project. Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Toronto, Canada, Northern Superior operates in the precious metals sector with 14 employees, serving institutional and retail investors through its listings on the TSX Venture Exchange (SUP), OTCQB (NSUPF), and Frankfurt (D9M1); it additionally owns 48.5% of ONGold Resources Ltd. (TSXV: ONAU), which advances the district-scale Ti-pa-haa-kaa-ning (TPK) project in Northwestern Ontario (47,796 hectares along the Stull-Wunnummin Fault Zone), the Monument Bay Gold Project, and the Domain Project in Manitoba. In October 2025, Northern Superior entered a definitive arrangement agreement with IAMGOLD Corporation for its acquisition at C$2.05 per share (0.0991 IAMGOLD share plus C$0.19 cash, valuing the deal at approximately C$375 million or US$267 million), creating the Nelligan Mining Complex by consolidating Chibougamau assets and pending shareholder and regulatory approvals expected in late 2025 or early 2026; prior to closing, shareholders will receive a pro rata distribution of Northern Superior's ONGold shares (current market value C$30 million).
