Business
Silver Lake Resources Limited is an Australian-based gold mining company focused on exploration, development, operation, and sale of gold and copper concentrates primarily in Western Australia and Canada. Incorporated in 2004 and headquartered in West Perth, Australia, the company operates key assets including the Deflector operations in the Southern Murchison region producing gold bullion and gold-copper concentrates; Mount Monger operations in the Eastern Goldfields Province producing gold bullion; and a 100% interest in the Sugar Zone operations in Northern Ontario, Canada, producing gold bullion and concentrates across approximately 81,287 hectares. Its activities target gold and copper production for domestic and international markets through these multi-asset operations in the Eastern Goldfields, Murchison, and Midwest regions. In a major strategic development, Silver Lake completed a merger of equals with Red 5 Limited in June 2024, valued at A$2.2 billion, creating one of Australia's largest mid-tier gold producers with Red 5 shareholders owning 51.7% and Silver Lake 48.3% of the combined entity, now known as Vault Minerals Limited and led by a blended board and management team including Silver Lake's former CEO Luke Tonkin.
