Yinhua Shaoxing Yuanshui Water Conservancy Closed-end Infrastructure Securities Investment Fund (SZSE: 180701), commonly known as Yinhua Shaoxing Yuanshui Water Conservancy REIT, is a China-based closed-end infrastructure investment fund established to own, operate, and manage water conservancy and raw water infrastructure assets. Founded in 2024 and managed by Yinhua Fund Management Co., Ltd., with Shaoxing Yuanshui Group Co., Ltd. acting as the original sponsor and operating coordinator, the fund is headquartered in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, China. The trust operates primarily in the public utility and water infrastructure sector, holding full economic ownership of the Tangpu Reservoir Project through project company Shaoxing Tangpu Reservoir Co., Ltd.
The trust generates revenue primarily by collecting raw water supply fees under long-term municipal authorization and concession frameworks. Its portfolio of operations and service capabilities comprises: large-scale raw water storage, catchment management, and bulk water supply to municipal water treatment plants; water conservancy infrastructure maintenance, reservoir dam operations, and flood risk mitigation; water resource dispatching, environmental baseflow regulation, and aquatic ecological conservation; comprehensive water quality monitoring, intake inspection, and watershed protection; and intelligent water infrastructure supervision utilizing digital twin technologies and meteorological-hydrological dispatch modeling. The fund provides raw water supply across Zhejiang Province, primarily serving municipal water utilities in Shaoxing (including Yuecheng District, Keqiao District, and Shangyu District) and Cixi City in Ningbo, delivering over 300 million cubic meters of raw water annually to an end-user population exceeding five million residents.
Recent strategic and operational milestones include the fund's initial public offering and listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in November 2024 as China's first publicly traded water conservancy infrastructure REIT, raising approximately RMB 1.697 billion through the issuance of 600 million units. Following the listing, net proceeds of approximately RMB 800 million were committed to support the capital construction of the major provincial Jingling Reservoir project to further enhance regional water security. Operationally, the underlying project company operates under a 30-year municipal concession framework that standardizes wholesale water tariffs and volume allocations. Over the recent financial periods, the trust commenced regular cash distributions to unitholders, implemented smart digital twin operational platforms to enhance real-time water dispatch efficiency, and deepened operational integration with meteorological authorities to implement targeted precipitation enhancement and seasonal storage management.
