Knowledge Economic City Company Knowledge Economic City Company (4310.SR), a publicly listed Saudi joint-stock company on the Tadawul, develops and manages real estate projects, economic cities, and related infrastructure in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, Saudi Arabia. Established in August 2010 following an IPO earlier that year and headquartered on King Abdul Aziz Road in Madinah, the company focuses on the Knowledge Economic City master-planned development spanning 6.8 million square meters, targeting sectors including housing, hospitality, knowledge-based industries (health care, education, entertainment, museums, and interactive parks), retail and shopping, and MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions). Its core products and services encompass real estate development projects such as Madinah Gate (commercial and entertainment center with DoubleTree Hilton hotel linked to Al Haramain TOD train station), KEC Hub (integrated commercial complex with Hilton hotel tower, residential tower, entertainment centers, sports club, restaurants, cafes, pedestrian squares, and gardens), Alalya'a (residential scheme with central outlet, gardens, mosque, and shops), and Dar Al Jewar (gated residential community); infrastructure works including telecommunications and internet networks, water and electricity networks, water treatment plants; knowledge-based educational projects like universities, colleges, scientific research centers, software development, and training services; real estate management, consulting, marketing and sales of properties, tourist projects, resorts, hotels, and furnished apartments; and public utilities to support knowledge industries. Recent major developments include a December 2024 framework agreement with Sidra Capital and Raseel Properties to establish a SAR 1.04 billion ($266 million) closed-ended real estate investment fund for the Al Duha mixed-use project, with Sidra as fund manager, Raseel as developer, and Knowledge Economic City Company (4310.SR) as majority investor, targeting launch in Q1 2025 and full development by Q1 2029; a December 2024 deal with Hilton and Al Gharaa International for Real Estate Development to introduce three new hotels in Madinah; a May 2024 partnership with Hyatt for two new hotels in Saudi Arabia; and a strategic joint venture with Maison Privee for premium short-stay hospitality and property-management services in KEC and Madinah. The company operates primarily in Saudi Arabia, benefiting from Vision 2030 infrastructure enhancements like Madinah Airport expansions and Haramain high-speed railway, serving residents, pilgrims, visitors, investors, and knowledge economy stakeholders while diversifying income through investments, joint ventures, and asset operations.
