Founded in 1939 and headquartered in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Taurus maintains industrial facilities in Brazil, Bainbridge, Georgia (USA) via subsidiary Taurus USA (formerly Taurus International), and a joint venture in Haryana, India, with Jindal Defence Systems; it serves primary markets in Brazil, the United States, and over 100 countries through exports while employing approximately 3,300 people and functioning as a subsidiary of BYK Participações S.A.
