Business
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Limited develops, manufactures, markets and distributes generic medicines, innovative branded drugs, biopharmaceuticals, over-the-counter products and active pharmaceutical ingredients worldwide. The company offers a broad portfolio of generic medicines in dosage forms including tablets, capsules, injectables, inhalants, liquids, transdermal patches, ointments and creams; sterile products, hormones, high-potency drugs and cytotoxic substances in parenteral and solid forms; and generic products with medical devices and combination therapies; alongside innovative products such as AUSTEDO for chorea associated with Huntington's disease and tardive dyskinesia, AJOVY for migraine prevention, UZEDY for schizophrenia, COPAXONE for relapsing multiple sclerosis, BENDEKA and TREANDA for certain lymphomas, ProAir RespiClick and QVAR RediHaler for asthma, and biosimilars including SELARSDI; plus respiratory inhalers like DuoResp Spiromax and AirDuo RespiClick, and APIs sold to third parties through affiliate Teva Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Teva operates through three main segments--North America, Europe and International Markets--with manufacturing facilities in Israel, North America, Europe, Australia and South America, targeting healthcare providers, pharmacies and patients across therapeutic areas including central nervous system disorders, oncology, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular conditions and infectious diseases. Founded in 1901 with roots in Jerusalem through predecessor Salomon, Levin and Elstein Ltd. and formally established in 1935, Teva is headquartered in Petah Tikva, Israel. In recent developments, Teva accelerates its Pivot to Growth strategy launched in 2025 with targets for a greater than $5 billion innovative medicines franchise by 2030 driven by AUSTEDO, AJOVY and UZEDY plus pipeline assets like olanzapine LAI, duvakitug and emrusolmin; reaffirms 2027 goals of 30% operating margins, over $2.7 billion free cash flow and 2x net leverage; enters a June 2025 strategic partnership with Fosun Pharma for anti-PD1-IL2 therapy TEV-56278 in oncology; launches first-to-market generics including Sandostatin LAR Depot and liraglutide (authorized generic of Victoza) in 2024-2025; and expands its biosimilars pipeline to 18 assets with SELARSDI U.S. launch in early 2025.
