Global X TargetIncome 5 ETF (TFIV) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Wilshire TargetIncome 5% Plus Index. The fund operates as a fund-of-funds, investing at least 80% of its total assets in securities of underlying exchange-traded funds (ETFs) representing diverse income-producing asset classes, including global high dividend equities via Global X SuperDividend ETF and Global X SuperDividend U.S. ETF; U.S. preferred securities through Global X U.S. Preferred ETF; high yield corporate bonds via Xtrackers USD High Yield Corporate Bond ETF; senior loans with SPDR Blackstone/GSO Senior Loan ETF; emerging markets local currency bonds from VanEck J.P. Morgan EM Local Currency Bond ETF; investment grade bonds and U.S. aggregate bonds using iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF; U.S. REITs via Schwab U.S. REIT ETF; MLPs and energy infrastructure equities through Global X MLP & Energy Infrastructure ETF; U.S. Treasury bonds with iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF; and U.S. TIPS via Schwab U.S. TIPS ETF, subject to quarterly rebalancing and maximum weights of 20% per underlying ETF to target an annualized yield of approximately 5%, net of fees, while minimizing portfolio risk through quantitative optimization based on yield, volatility, and correlation inputs. TFIV targets income-seeking investors, such as retirees, across developed and emerging market equities, bonds (investment grade and high yield), senior loans, preferred securities, REITs, MLPs, energy infrastructure, U.S. Treasuries, and TIPS, with monthly distributions; it lists on Cboe BZX, carries a management fee of 0.39% plus acquired fund fees and expenses of 0.36% for a total expense ratio of 0.75%, and was launched on July 27, 2018, as part of Global X Funds, headquartered at 605 Third Avenue, 43rd Floor, New York, NY 10158, with the issuer, Global X Management Company LLC, a subsidiary of Mirae Asset Global Investments. In a significant operational change, the Board of Trustees of Global X Funds approved the liquidation and termination of TFIV on September 17, 2021, due to persistently small assets under management (around $6.52 million as of July 31, 2021) and limited growth prospects; trading ceased at the close of regular trading on Cboe BZX on October 15, 2021, with final pro rata cash distributions to remaining shareholders on or about October 22, 2021, after which the fund terminated, bearing only brokerage fees and expenses while the adviser covered other liquidation costs.
