Innovator 20+ Year Treasury Bond 5 Floor ETF – Quarterly (TFJL) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks the price return of the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (TLT), up to a predetermined cap, while providing a maximum loss limited to 5% over each quarterly outcome period before fees and expenses. The ETF invests principally in FLEX Options referencing TLT to achieve its defined outcome objectives; it resets at the end of each three-month period and may be held indefinitely. Launched on August 17, 2020, TFJL operates within the defined outcome segment of the fixed income ETF market, targeting investors seeking buffered exposure to long-duration U.S. Treasury bonds. TFJL forms part of the broader suite of Defined Outcome ETFs™ issued by Innovator Capital Management, LLC (Innovator), a leading provider of risk-managed investment products including Buffer ETFs™, Defined Income ETFs™, and Defined Protection ETFs™. Innovator, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois, pioneered the world's first Defined Outcome ETFs™ in 2018 and manages over $28 billion in assets across more than 150 ETFs as of September 30, 2025. The firm, established by industry veterans Bruce Bond and John Southard—former founders of PowerShares ETFs—focuses on U.S. investors through products domiciled in the United States and listed on exchanges like Cboe. In a major strategic development, Goldman Sachs agreed in December 2025 to acquire Innovator Capital Management for approximately $2 billion, enhancing Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management's ETF offerings with Innovator's specialized defined outcome strategies. This transaction, expected to integrate Innovator's product innovation with Goldman Sachs' global distribution, marks a significant expansion for both entities amid growing demand for outcome-oriented fixed income and equity exposure; terms include synergies in client outcomes across income, buffer, and growth categories. No other major acquisitions, partnerships, funding rounds, or product launches specific to TFJL have been reported in the last 1-2 years.
