Business
Uranus Chemicals Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based advanced electronic materials manufacturer primarily engaged in the research, development, synthesis, purification, and distribution of ultra-high-purity specialty chemicals and metal-organic precursors for the global semiconductor and optoelectronics industries. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Hsinchu County, Taiwan, the company operates across specialized business segments dedicated to wafer fabrication chemicals, compound semiconductor materials, and chemical container engineering services. The company's comprehensive product and service portfolio includes: advanced precursor materials for atomic layer deposition (ALD) and chemical vapor deposition (CVD), encompassing high-k dielectric precursors, metal gate materials, low-k silicon precursors, and metal interconnect sources for advanced logic and memory manufacturing; metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) precursors, such as trimethylgallium (TMGa), triethylgallium (TEGa), trimethylindium (TMIn), trimethylaluminum (TMAl), and dopant sources used in gallium nitride (GaN), silicon carbide (SiC), gallium arsenide (GaAs), and indium phosphide (InP) fabrication; electronic-grade specialty chemicals and ultra-pure organometallic compounds tailored for advanced packaging and power device applications; and total container management and engineering services, comprising specialized stainless steel cylinder manufacturing, ultra-clean vessel maintenance, safety valve inspection, precursor refilling, and environmentally compliant chemical recycling and recovery solutions. Uranus Chemicals serves a diverse customer base consisting of leading semiconductor foundries, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), memory chipmakers, compound semiconductor fabricators, and optoelectronic device manufacturers across Taiwan, mainland China, Japan, South Korea, North America, and Europe. In recent major developments, the company achieved a major corporate milestone by listing on the Emerging Stock Board of the Taipei Exchange under the ticker symbol 7742, bolstering its capital base for strategic capacity scaling. Furthermore, Uranus Chemicals has expanded its high-purity synthesis and purification facilities to address the growing demand for localized semiconductor supply chain resilience, accelerated the qualification and commercial deployment of proprietary next-generation ALD and CVD precursors engineered for advanced process nodes below 3 nanometers, and deepened technical partnerships with major semiconductor fabrication equipment makers and domestic chipmakers to co-develop custom precursor chemistries for emerging 3D semiconductor architectures and advanced packaging applications.
