Business
Johnson Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. (TPEX: 7763) is a Taiwan-based specialty chemical manufacturer engaged in the research, development, synthesis, and global distribution of high-performance curing agents, crosslinkers, and specialized resin systems. Founded in 1991 and headquartered in Taichung City, Taiwan, the company operates primarily within the specialty chemical and advanced materials sectors, catering to the coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (C.A.S.E.) industry, industrial manufacturing, construction engineering, and the high-speed electronics supply chain. The company's core product and service portfolio comprises multiple specialized chemical categories: amine-based curing agents and chain extenders marketed under the HARTCURE brand, including 4,4'-methylenebis(2-chloroaniline) (MOCA), dimethylthiotoluenediamine (DMTDA), diethyltoluenediamine (DETDA), and specialty amine hardeners such as HARTCURE MMEA; isocyanate-based curing agents and specialty crosslinkers marketed under the HARTDUR brand, encompassing 1,5-naphthalene diisocyanate (NDI), o-tolidine diisocyanate (TODI), p-phenylene diisocyanate (PPDI), and tris(p-isocyanatophenyl) thiophosphate (RFE); chemical additives and dehydrating agents, including p-toluenesulfonyl isocyanate (PTSI) supplied under the HARTTIVE brand; functional resin and coating systems, consisting of polyaspartic polyurea resins, polyurethane (PU) waterproofing systems, heavy-duty epoxy coatings, and eco-friendly protective surface treatments; and electronic-grade specialty chemicals, particularly high-purity diamine curing agents and functional monomers utilized as essential upstream materials for bismaleimide (BMI) resin formulations in high-frequency, high-speed copper-clad laminates (CCL) for artificial intelligence (AI) servers, 5G telecommunication base stations, and automotive electronic control units. Johnson Fine Chemical conducts its primary operations from its corporate headquarters in Taichung Industrial Park and maintains integrated production and research networks across Taiwan and Mainland China, including its manufacturing subsidiary Shandong Johnson New Material Technology Co., Ltd. and a regional commercial hub in Jiaxing. The company serves industrial, civil, and technology sector clients across Greater China, the wider Asia-Pacific region, Europe, and the Americas. In recent corporate developments, Johnson Fine Chemical listed on the Taipei Exchange (TPEX) Emerging Stock Board under ticker 7763 in September 2024 and subsequently secured approval for a mainboard listing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange. To support expanding integration into the global artificial intelligence and high-speed networking hardware supply chain, the company initiated a NT$1.06 billion capital expenditure plan to develop a new 4,000-ping manufacturing facility in Taiwan's Changbin Industrial Park, scheduled to scale electronic specialty chemical production to approximately 40% to 50% of total revenue. Furthermore, the company established an advanced application and technical demonstration center in Zhongli, Taoyuan, to accelerate product validation and joint development with copper-clad laminate and printed circuit board manufacturers, alongside implementing targeted price adjustments across core chemical lines in response to upstream raw material dynamics.
