Business
TurboGen Ltd. is an Israel-based development-stage technology company that develops combined heat and power systems based on multifuel microturbines for local electricity, energy, and heat production in buildings; its products and planned offerings include the TG-40 microturbine platform, scalable 23 kW, 32 kW, 40 kW, and 80 kW systems, Energy-as-a-Service arrangements, installed-unit sales with service contracts, and integration with energy storage, heat storage, and localized micro-grid solutions for commercial buildings, housing developments, hospitality properties, off-grid users, and server farms. Founded in 2014 and headquartered at 22 Efal Street, Kiryat Aryeh, Petah Tikva, Israel, the company operates primarily in Israel and targets markets with advanced natural gas infrastructure, including the United States and European Union countries. TurboGen is pursuing commercial deployment of its TG-40 system by the end of 2026 and continues to develop multi-fuel combustion capabilities using natural gas, landfill gas, diesel, and hydrogen; in December 2025 it entered into a supplier agreement with a European Union-based company for planned production of its microturbine systems, and in March 2026 it filed for a Nasdaq Capital Market listing under ticker TRBG, which began trading on August 31, 2026 while the company maintained its Tel Aviv listing under TURB. The company has also been negotiating a strategic transaction to acquire a 50% stake in Elbatech Ltd., a move expected to reshape operations into two primary divisions and make businessman Tzachi Abu the controlling shareholder, and it remains a foreign private issuer and emerging growth company with operations still in the research, development, and pre-commercialization phase.
