Business
Taronis Fuels, Inc. (TRNF) operates as a renewable fuel and power generation company focused on industrial gases and welding supplies in the United States. The company manufactures, sells, and distributes MagneGas, a patented metal-cutting fuel produced via Plasma Arc Venturi technology from waste liquids; a full line of industrial, medical, specialty, and beverage gases; welding equipment; and related services to end markets including metalworking, manufacturing, construction, demolition, utilities, agriculture, transportation, repair, salvage, and medical industries. It conducts retail and wholesale operations through approximately 28 locations across states such as California, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and Indiana, with headquarters in Peoria, Arizona, where it was founded in 2017 following a spin-off from Taronis Technologies. In recent major developments, Taronis Fuels and affiliates filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization on November 11, 2022, leading to a Section 363 asset sale in February 2023 where Meritus Gas Partners acquired substantially all MagneGas Welding Supply-South assets in Texas, Louisiana, and Indiana, including seven retail locations, a fill plant, and specialty gas lab; the bankruptcy plan was confirmed in August 2024 with Aurora Management Partners appointed as liquidating trustee to wind down remaining operations.
