Triton International Limited (NYSE: TRTN) operates as the world's largest lessor of intermodal freight containers and related equipment, engaging in the acquisition, leasing, re-leasing, and sale of containers and chassis to major shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other customers worldwide. The company offers a comprehensive range of products including dry containers; refrigerated containers; flatracks; open tops; tank containers; palletwide containers; generator sets; rolltrailers; and chassis, supported by a fleet exceeding 7 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) managed through a global network of over 400 independent depots across more than 16 countries. Headquartered in Hamilton, Bermuda, and founded in 1980, Triton International maintains operations in key locations such as the United States, United Kingdom, Belgium, and others, serving as a subsidiary of Brookfield Infrastructure Corporation as of 2025. In July 2025, the company completed the acquisition of Global Container International LLC, adding approximately 500,000 TEUs to its fleet and integrating a complementary long-term lease portfolio from the target. Additionally, in April 2025, Triton announced a strategic long-term partnership with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company, Limited, under which the partner acquired a minority interest in one of Triton's container leasing portfolios with opportunities for future investments.
