Business
Trinity Exploration & Production plc is an independent oil and gas company focused on the exploration, development, production and sale of crude oil and natural gas onshore and offshore Trinidad and Tobago; core assets include 100% operated working interests in seven onshore oil leases within the Southern Basin and Central Range, three offshore licenses in the Columbus Basin and Gulf of Paria, and over 170 producing wells onshore with net production averaging 2,790 barrels of oil per day in 2023, supported by 2P reserves of 12.9 million barrels and 2C contingent resources of 38.7 million barrels. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Leeds, United Kingdom, the company targets hydrocarbon production for domestic and export markets primarily in the energy sector across Trinidad's east and west coasts. In November 2024, Trinity became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lease Operators Limited following a recommended cash acquisition valued at approximately £26.4 million at 68.05 pence per share, completed via court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement, delisting its shares from AIM and integrating operations to enhance scale, reserves growth and production synergies with the Trinidad-based acquirer, one of the region's largest independent onshore producers.
