Business
Takebishi Corporation is a comprehensive trading company primarily engaged in the sales of industrial factory automation (FA) equipment and systems, semiconductors, devices, social infrastructure products, and information systems. Its main product categories include FA devices such as controllers, drive controls, and electricity distribution controls; integrated FA systems for automating production lines; high-precision processing machinery and robots; semiconductor parts supplied mainly to assembly manufacturers and electronic device makers; and various devices for use in home electronics, industrial controllers, and the amusement sector. In social infrastructure, Takebishi handles air conditioning units and devices for household equipment focusing on energy-saving products, as well as advanced inspection equipment including radiation cancer therapy systems, CT, and MRI systems. The company operates across Japan and overseas, expanding its sales network to include multiple branches and affiliates in key regions including Southeast Asia and India. Founded in 1948 and headquartered in Tokyo, Takebishi has implemented a medium-term business plan "T-Link 1369" targeting growth in sales and ordinary income by fiscal 2026 through strategic focus areas including global expansion, medical business growth, mobility, materials, digital transformation, and energy solutions. Recent major changes include steady growth in the medical sector through expansion in diagnostic and surgical equipment, increased emphasis on automation and DX services, and efforts to enhance corporate value through capital efficiency and shareholder returns. It also continues to bolster its semiconductor and device sales, alongside expanding service offerings in medical digital transformation and automation solutions. Takebishi maintains a strong presence in industrial IoT communications with OPC standard-compliant products linking control devices and networks to monitoring systems. These strategic expansions and product developments reflect Takebishi’s role as a technologically advanced trading company focused on factory automation, social infrastructure, and medical equipment markets with a growing footprint in emerging markets and digital solutions. The company reported steady financial performance and growth outlook in its latest financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026, aligning with its medium-term vision for sustainable growth and innovation.
