Business
Kanaden Corporation operates as an electronics technology solutions provider, distributing a wide array of electrical and electronic equipment across Japan and internationally. Established in 1907 as Kanagawa Electric Co., Ltd. and later renamed Kanaden Corporation in October 1990, the company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company's diverse offerings are segmented into several key business areas. Its Factory Automation Systems segment delivers components for control and drive applications, including sequencers, inverters, AC servos, and robots, alongside various sensors, circuit breakers, measuring instruments, and specialized processing machines like electrical discharge and laser systems. The Building Facilities division supplies essential infrastructure such as elevators, escalators, comprehensive building management systems, solar power generation solutions, LED lighting products, and advanced air conditioning and refrigeration systems for commercial and industrial spaces. Within its Infrastructure segment, Kanaden supports societal development by providing electrical products and control components for railway rolling stock and other vehicles, substation power receiving and distribution facilities, and communication equipment for transportation networks. This segment also encompasses traffic safety systems, air-traffic control systems, local disaster prevention systems, photovoltaic power generation, and lithium-ion batteries. The Information & Communications Equipment segment focuses on power semiconductors, network ICs, interface connectors, TFT liquid crystal panel modules, security systems, and various display systems, including LED and disaster prevention signage, as well as electronic medical devices like radiotherapy systems. Kanaden aims to evolve into an "Electronics Solutions Company" by leveraging its extensive technological expertise to address customer and societal challenges, fostering sustainable growth through a combination of established business and new ventures. The company launched a new "Solution Website" in October 2025 to introduce solutions focused on video surveillance, equipment and utility surveillance, and energy surveillance.
