Business
Thai Union Group Public Company Limited and its associated entities engage in the worldwide production and distribution of an extensive range of seafood products, spanning frozen, chilled, and ambient categories. The company operates across distinct business areas including ambient seafood offerings, frozen and chilled seafood with related operations, and a robust segment for pet food, value-added items, and other ventures. Its shelf-stable seafood selection features varieties such as tuna, sardines, salmon, mackerel, and herring, supplied to both retail channels and wholesale partners. For foodservice clients like restaurants, hotels, and caterers, it provides frozen and chilled seafood products, predominantly shrimp, lobster, and crab, along with fresh salmon. The company also innovates with ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve prepared foods, including specialized marine ingredients for applications in consumer goods such as nutritional supplements, cosmetics, and clinical nutrition. Furthermore, its pet care division, managed through its i-Tail Corporation subsidiary, focuses on wet pet food and treat manufacturing for cats and dogs. Key brands under its global portfolio encompass Chicken of the Sea, John West, Petit Navire, Parmentier, King Oscar, Mareblu, Rügen Fisch, Sealect, Fisho, QFresh, Monori, Bellotta, Marvo, Zeavita, and Interpharma-ZEAvita. Beyond product manufacturing, Thai Union is involved in packaging, tuna oil refinement, shrimp aquaculture, and hatchery operations. Established in 1977, the company, formerly known as Thai Union Frozen Products Public Company Limited until its name change in September 2015, is headquartered in Mueang Samut Sakhon, Thailand, and maintains a significant global footprint with operations spanning North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. In late 2024, the company introduced its ambitious Strategy 2030, aiming to achieve substantial revenue growth and double earnings by 2030, solidifying its vision as a leading marine health and nutrition enterprise, while continuing its long-standing commitment to sustainability as evidenced by its SeaChange 2030 strategy and consistent recognition on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices.
