Bilander Acquisition Corp. was a special purpose acquisition company, commonly known as a SPAC, established with the goal of engaging in a merger, stock exchange, asset acquisition, or similar business combination with one or more enterprises. Formed and sponsored by an affiliate of True Wind Capital, a private investment firm focused on technology, the company intended to pursue targets within the technology and technology-enabled services sectors. This included high-growth private businesses generally valued between $750 million and $2.5 billion. The firm completed its initial public offering in July 2021, raising $150 million through the issuance of units, which later separated into Class A common stock (TWCB) and warrants (TWCBW) for individual trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market. However, Bilander Acquisition Corp. announced in July 2023 that it would not complete an initial business combination within its allotted timeframe. Consequently, the company proceeded to redeem all of its outstanding Class A common stock, with public shares ceasing trade on July 25, 2023, and each share subsequently representing the right to receive approximately $10.25. The associated warrants expired without value. The company has since liquidated.
