Business
V5 Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment manufacturer specializing in artificial intelligence-driven automated optical inspection (AOI) and automated optical metrology (AOM) solutions. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Hsinchu Science Park, Hsinchu City, Taiwan, the company develops hardware and software platforms designed to optimize process yields and defect classification across semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, and medical imaging domains. The company operates primarily through its semiconductor equipment and intelligent software divisions, providing a comprehensive portfolio of precision inspection and measurement products, including: the V5300 PRO and V5200 series of fully automated wafer-level optical inspection and metrology systems supporting 8-inch and 12-inch wafers across Advanced Surface Inspection (ASI), After-Clean Inspection (ACI), After-Develop Inspection (ADI), After-Etch Inspection (AEI), and Advanced Solder Tip Inspection (ASTI); the V5 Automated Defect Classification (V5 ADC) intelligent vision inspection platform, an AI-powered software engine deployed on offline servers or integrated directly into inline production lines to enhance defect recognition accuracy, reduce false alarms, and prevent overkill; Optical Microscope (OM) intelligent automation upgrade solutions that retrofit manual and semi-automatic inspection stations into fully automated, Industry 4.0-compliant systems; fully automated embedded optical inspection systems integrating proprietary optical modules and real-time computer vision algorithms directly into third-party production machinery; and AI-assisted clinical diagnostic software suites developed via its healthcare subsidiary, V5med Inc. (V5 MedTech), featuring deep learning algorithms for low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) lung nodule detection, coronary artery calcification analysis, and pulmonary emphysema quantification. V5 Technologies serves a global customer base comprising leading semiconductor foundries, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) providers, integrated device manufacturers (IDMs), memory chip fabricators, and medical institutions across Taiwan, Greater China, Japan, Southeast Asia, and North America. In recent developments, V5 Technologies successfully completed its transition from the Emerging Stock Board to a mainboard listing on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE: 7822) in March 2026, marking a significant milestone in its corporate capitalization. Operationally, the company has substantially expanded its advanced packaging portfolio to address high-density interconnect challenges in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) chipsets, delivering advanced inspection capabilities for micro-bump, redistribution layer (RDL), and extreme wafer warpage handling across Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate (CoWoS) and Panel-Level Packaging (PLP) architectures. Additionally, the company entered the co-packaged optics (CPO) equipment supply chain, advancing product verification for optical interconnect testing, while its healthcare subsidiary secured U.S. FDA 510(k) clearances and expanded international commercialization partnerships across North America and the Asia-Pacific region.
