Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Yunlin County, Taiwan, the company changed its name from Sunny Friend Waste Disposal Co., Ltd. in May 2001 and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in March 2015. Recent developments include a May 2023 sale of Chin Hsin shares reducing ownership to 66.04% and generating capital surplus; a January 2024 equity purchase in Rizhao Panyue increasing group control to 100%; and a March 2024 approval for Chin Hsin's cash capital increase via 6 million new shares, diluting ownership to 57.42% upon completion in July 2024, alongside ongoing investments in incineration capacity at Changhua plant and heat recovery upgrades at Yunlin facilities.
