Business
The Tirex Corporation (TXMC), founded in 1987 and headquartered in Westport, Connecticut, develops and owns patented semi-cryogenic tire recycling process technology; it offers the TCS System, a tire reduction system that freezes scrap tire pieces with cold air or liquid nitrogen, breaks the rubber into high-quality cryogenic crumb rubber ranging from 5 to 30 mesh or finer through its fracturing mill, and separates marketable strands of steel wire and fiber for industrial reuse; the company targets the environmental services and specialty industrial machinery sectors, serving waste management operators, rubber product manufacturers, and recycling facilities primarily in the United States. The TCS System produces clean, saleable crumb rubber suitable for extrusion molding into recycled products, intact steel for metal markets, and fiber for various applications, positioning Tirex as a provider of sustainable waste solutions in the industrials sector with operations focused domestically. Formerly known as Tirex America, Inc., the company changed its name to The Tirex Corporation in July 1997; no significant recent partnerships, funding rounds, acquisitions, new product launches, or major strategic expansions occur within the last 1-2 years, as financial reporting remains dormant since 2015 with minimal operational activity evidenced by a workforce of three employees and negligible revenue.
