Business
Development Investment Construction number 1 Joint Stock Co (UPCOM: DC1), operating as DIC - No 1, is a Vietnam-based general construction, infrastructure development, and engineering contractor. Founded in 2007 through the equitization of a state-owned enterprise under Development Investment Construction Corporation (DIC Corp) and headquartered in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, Vietnam, the company provides comprehensive construction, installation, and technical engineering services across civil, residential, commercial, industrial, and public utility sectors. The company operates through four core business segments: Civil and Commercial Construction, Infrastructure and Municipal Works, Specialized Engineering and MEP Installation, and Building Materials and Equipment Trading. Its portfolio of products and services includes the general contracting and structural construction of high-rise apartment complexes, condominiums, office buildings, hotels, and luxury resorts; the construction of industrial plants, factories, warehouses, and educational facilities; the development and installation of urban technical infrastructure, including municipal road networks, transport engineering works, bridges, land reclamation, and site grading; the engineering and installation of public utility systems, including wastewater treatment plants, municipal drainage and water supply networks, power transmission stations, and electrical substations; specialized engineering services encompassing foundation engineering, ground treatment, structural finishing, and architectural works; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP/MEPF) contracting; the installation of certified fire prevention, detection, and firefighting systems; and the wholesale distribution and trading of construction materials, hardware, and structural supplies alongside heavy construction machinery and equipment leasing. The company serves public authorities, real estate developers, industrial zone operators, and commercial enterprises primarily throughout southern and south-central Vietnam. In recent operational and corporate developments, the company reorganized its leadership with the appointment of Hoang Van Tang as Chairman of the Board of Directors to steer strategic execution, project delivery, and corporate governance. Furthermore, the company expanded its project execution footprint across Southern Vietnam by securing and commencing major general contracting, structural, finishing, and MEPF packages for regional development projects, including the Vo Van Tan High School complex in Long An Province and infrastructure works for the Vi Thanh Commercial Residential Area in Hau Giang Province, while reinforcing its Class 1 (Grade I) construction capability certification from Vietnam's Ministry of Construction for large-scale high-rise and public infrastructure works.
