Business
Hung Yen Garment Corp. (UPCoM: HUG) is a Vietnam-based apparel manufacturing and textile corporation primarily engaged in the design, processing, production, and export of woven and knitted apparel. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Hung Yen City, Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, the company operates as an affiliated member of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex). The corporation offers a diversified portfolio of garment products, comprising outerwear and cold-weather clothing, including down jackets, padded coats, seam-sealed waterproof jackets, ski jackets, and lightweight windbreakers; bottom wear and pants, including casual chinos, denim jeans, cargo trousers, formal slacks, and shorts; sportswear and activewear, including performance tracksuits, training apparel, and moisture-wicking athletic jerseys; shirts and tops, including woven dress shirts, casual button-downs, polo shirts, and knit t-shirts; as well as specialized uniforms, workwear, protective apparel, and children's wear. Beyond garment assembly, the company provides end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain services, including cut-make-trim (CMT) processing; full-package free-on-board (FOB) manufacturing; original design manufacturing (ODM); computer-aided design (CAD) pattern development and grading; automated fabric cutting, computerized embroidery, and seam sealing; garment dyeing and industrial washing; quality assurance testing; customized packaging; and export logistics management. Hung Yen Garment Corp. serves international fashion brands, sportswear companies, and retail chains across major export destinations including the United States, the European Union, Japan, and South Korea, supported by a network of subsidiary manufacturing facilities and satellite workshops located across northern Vietnam. In recent operations, Hung Yen Garment Corp. has executed key strategic and operational adjustments centered on green manufacturing, digital automation, and supply chain value enhancement. The corporation has accelerated its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) transformation by installing industrial rooftop solar photovoltaic systems across its primary manufacturing plants, implementing water-recycling and energy-reduction technologies, and securing international sustainable manufacturing and labor compliance certifications to satisfy evolving global supply chain regulations. To improve operational productivity and shorten delivery cycles, the company has invested in factory modernization, integrating automated fabric spreaders, laser cutting systems, computerized smart hanging conveyor lines, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. In addition, Hung Yen Garment Corp. has strategically expanded its share of full-package FOB and ODM production contracts to capture higher operating margins over conventional CMT orders, while deepening raw material sourcing partnerships within the domestic Vinatex ecosystem and broader Asian markets to optimize rules-of-origin compliance under the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
