Originally founded in 1993 as Dong Thap Muoi Rural Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the institution is headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, and operates an extensive nationwide branch network consisting of branches and transaction offices across major economic provinces. In recent developments, the institution completed a major ownership restructuring and strategic overhaul following the full divestment by former majority shareholder Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), which auctioned its entire 40% equity stake to institutional investors affiliated with the Thanh Cong Group ecosystem. Concurrently, the bank officially changed its corporate name from Petrolimex Group Commercial Joint Stock Bank to Prosperity and Growth Commercial Joint Stock Bank, introduced a refreshed brand identity, relocated its corporate headquarters to Thanh Cong Tower in Cau Giay District, Hanoi, and executed capital enhancement programs to expand its charter capital base and accelerate the rollout of modernized digital banking and retail credit capabilities under its multi-year strategic roadmap.
