Song Da Corporation JSC is a Vietnam-based heavy construction, engineering, and infrastructure development enterprise specializing in power generation facilities, transport infrastructure, and industrial civil works. Founded in 1961 and headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company operates under the majority ownership of the State Capital Investment Corporation (SCIC) and maintains extensive contracting and development operations across Vietnam and the Southeast Asian region, including Laos. The company structures its operations across four primary business segments: Infrastructure Construction and Engineering; Commercial Electricity Generation; Building Materials Manufacturing and Trading; and Real Estate and Technical Consultancy Services. Song Da Corporation JSC offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services, comprising: engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) and general contracting services for large-scale hydroelectric, thermal, solar, and wind power plants; specialized underground engineering and tunneling services utilizing the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM); dam construction employing roller-compacted concrete (RCC) and concrete-faced rockfill dam (CFRD) technologies; construction of transportation infrastructure, including expressways, national highways, mountain passes, bridges, and railway systems; civil and industrial plant construction, including manufacturing facilities, urban residential zones, and commercial complexes; transmission infrastructure engineering, including high-voltage power lines and transformer substations; commercial electricity generation and wholesale supply through invested hydropower assets; manufacturing, fabrication, and trading of construction materials, including commercial concrete, cement, quarry aggregates, and pre-engineered steel structures; leasing, maintenance, and logistics of heavy earthmoving machinery and specialized construction equipment; and technical consultancy, architectural design, geological surveying, and project supervision services. In recent developments, Song Da Corporation JSC is implementing a comprehensive corporate restructuring roadmap through 2028 to focus resources on its core competencies of heavy construction, engineering installation, and commercial electricity production while improving balance sheet health. As part of this strategic divestment program, the corporation has approved plans to divest capital from 23 non-core and underperforming subsidiaries and affiliates, including public auction processes for its holdings in units such as Song Da 11 JSC, alongside the dissolution of non-viable entities such as National Road No. 2 BOT JSC. Operationally, the group is undertaking financial and operational reorganizations across subsidiaries such as Song Da 4 and Song Da 6 to resolve legacy audit qualifications and stabilize financial compliance on the UPCoM exchange. The corporation also continues to expand its project participation in key national transportation links and regional cross-border energy projects in Laos while maintaining active capital return programs through consistent shareholder dividend disbursements.
