Business
Vinaship Joint Stock Company is a Vietnam-based maritime transportation and logistics enterprise primarily engaged in the international and domestic ocean transport of dry bulk and breakbulk cargo. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Hai Phong, Vietnam, the company operates as a subsidiary of the Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VIMC). Vinaship Joint Stock Company delivers commercial shipping and logistics solutions across several core segments, including: ocean transportation of dry bulk and industrial commodities, such as clinker, cement, coal, iron ore, steel, agricultural grains, fertilizers, and timber; voyage chartering and time chartering services tailored to domestic and international charterers; shipping agency and vessel husbanding services, covering port clearance, customs documentation, cargo handling supervision, and stevedoring facilitation; freight forwarding and multimodal logistics coordination; and marine support services, encompassing technical ship management, crew provisioning, bunker supply, and vessel maintenance. The company operates a dedicated fleet of bulk and general cargo vessels serving key sea lanes throughout Vietnam, Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East. In recent developments, Vinaship Joint Stock Company has executed a strategic fleet renewal and optimization program centered on divesting aging, lower-efficiency tonnage and acquiring modern, eco-friendly Handysize bulk carriers to meet International Maritime Organization (IMO) Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI) and Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) regulations. Additionally, the company has broadened long-term shipping contracts with major industrial producers for raw material haulage, strengthened operational synergies within the VIMC maritime network, and integrated digital fleet management solutions to enhance fuel efficiency, voyage scheduling, and operational safety.
