- ProShares Metaverse ETF (VERS) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to the performance of the Solactive Metaverse Theme Index. The fund invests principally in equity securities of companies providing or using innovative technologies to offer products and services around the metaverse, including metaverse technology such as virtual and augmented reality infrastructure and hardware; metaverse platforms encompassing virtual environments, digital worlds, virtual marketplaces, and social network platforms; metaverse devices like wearable devices, specialized visuals, audio, and gaming equipment; interchange standards involving tools, formats, services, and engines that facilitate metaverse creation and operation; and data processing services for high-intensity computing support such as rendering, data matching, synchronization, and motion capturing. Selected companies must derive at least 50% of revenue from metaverse-related operations, with the top 40 ranked by exposure score and market capitalization included in the index, which undergoes semiannual rebalancing in June and December; as of December 2025, top holdings include Vuzix Corp (VUZI), Qualcomm Inc (QCOM), Meta Platforms Inc (META), and Nvidia Corp (NVDA). Launched on March 15, 2022, and listed on NYSE Arca, VERS features an expense ratio of 0.58%, quarterly distributions, and options availability; the fund is managed by ProShare Advisors LLC, portfolio managers Michael Neches and Tarak Davé since inception.
