Vishnu Chemicals Limited manufactures and sells chromium and barium-based specialty chemicals from its headquarters in Hyderabad, India. Founded in 1989 as Keystone Industries Ltd and renamed in 2006, the company produces sodium dichromate, potassium dichromate, chromic acid, barium carbonate, barium sulphate and other compounds for applications in pharmaceuticals, leather tanning, automobiles, ceramics, glass, pigments and dyes, metallurgy and steel industries. It operates three manufacturing facilities in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh with a combined chromium capacity of 70,000 MTPA, serving customers across Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa. In August 2024, Vishnu Chemicals acquired Jayansree Pharma Private Limited for Rs 52 crore enterprise value to expand into strontium chemistry, establishing Vishnu Strontium Private Limited which commenced commercial production of strontium carbonate at its Visakhapatnam facility in August 2025. The company incorporated Vishnu South Africa Pty Ltd for chrome mining backward integration and completed its subsidiary's acquisition of Bonmerci Investments 103 Pty Ltd with associated mining assets in November 2025 to enhance raw material security and cost competitiveness. Vishnu plans capacity expansion in barium sulphate to around 50,000 tonnes by FY2027 and a new chromium metal product launch in early FY2026.
