Business
Argentina Metals Corp. is a Canadian-domiciled mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of copper and associated precious-metal assets in Mendoza Province, Argentina. The Company’s principal activities include mineral-property acquisition; geological mapping and sampling; target generation; exploration program design and execution; and the advancement of district-scale copper exploration projects in the Malargüe Western Mining District and other prospective areas of Mendoza. Its portfolio includes the flagship Las Estrellas Project, as well as the Zascar, Vecindario, La Herradura, El Salado, La Quimera, Angellica, Roma, Veneto and Belluno properties. The Company explores principally for copper, with prospective gold and silver mineralization, and holds its Argentine assets through its wholly owned subsidiary, Argentina Metals S.A.S. Argentina Metals has assembled a 100%-owned land position of approximately 146,700 hectares across 26 copper exploration projects in Mendoza Province. The Company’s assets are held without private royalties, net-smelter-return royalties, back-in rights or earn-in obligations, other than royalties payable to the Province of Mendoza. Its operations are directed toward identifying and advancing copper targets in Argentina’s Andean copper belt, with intended customers and stakeholders including mining-industry partners, potential strategic investors, and ultimately global copper-market participants. Recent developments include the August 2026 completion of the acquisition of a 100% interest in the Angellica, Roma, Veneto and Belluno properties, comprising 19,151 hectares, from Andean Exploration S.A., a Maref Group portfolio company, following approval by the Mendoza Mining Ministry. The consideration included US$812,000 in cash and the issuance of 1,050,000 common shares. In June 2026, Argentina Metals also completed the acquisition of a 100% interest in the El Salado and La Quimera copper properties, totaling 9,980 hectares. The Company plans to commence its inaugural field season on its expanded Mendoza portfolio in the fourth quarter of 2026. Argentina Metals appointed Roger Clegg as chief executive officer and director in August 2026, while Raymond D. Harari transitioned to president; it also appointed Chris Paul and Joaquin Marias as technical advisers and Enrique Reichhard as vice president of exploration during 2026. The Company began trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol VLLC in June 2026, added a Frankfurt Stock Exchange listing under VA5, and commenced trading on the OTCQB Venture Market under VLLCF in July 2026. Argentina Metals was founded in 2025 and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
