Delaware Investments Minnesota Municipal Income Fund II, Inc. (NYSE: VMM) is a closed-end fixed income mutual fund that seeks to provide current income exempt from federal income tax and Minnesota state personal income tax, consistent with preservation of capital. Launched in 1992 by Delaware Management Holdings, Inc. and managed by Delaware Management Business Trust, a series of Macquarie Investment Management Business Trust, the fund invests primarily in investment grade municipal bonds issued in the United States, including airport revenue bonds; city, political subdivision, school district, state, and territorial general obligation bonds; continuing care and retirement revenue bonds; corporate backed revenue bonds; escrowed to maturity and pre-refunded bonds; higher education revenue bonds; hospital revenue bonds; multifamily and single family housing revenue bonds; municipal lease revenue bonds; parking revenue bonds; public power revenue bonds; and tax increment and special assessment bonds. The fund benchmarks its performance against the Bloomberg Municipal Bond Index and operates from headquarters in the United States, domiciled there, with a portfolio focused on Minnesota-related obligations where possible to enhance state tax-exempt status for Minnesota residents. Previously known as Voyageur Minnesota Municipal Income Fund II, Inc., the fund maintains a market capitalization of approximately $153 million as of late 2025, with a dividend yield around 5.17%, and continues to trade on the NYSE amid stable operations under Macquarie oversight following the 2022 acquisition integrations involving related Delaware municipal funds.
