- Valhalla Metals Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on advancing high-grade volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) copper, zinc, lead, gold and silver projects in the Ambler Mining District of northwestern Alaska, United States. The Company’s principal activities comprise the acquisition, exploration, delineation and potential development of polymetallic critical-mineral deposits, with primary exposure to copper and zinc and by-product precious metals. Its core asset portfolio includes the Sun Project, its flagship copper-zinc-lead-gold-silver VMS property consisting of the Main Sun and SW Sun deposits, and the Smucker Project, a copper-gold-silver-zinc VMS project. Valhalla conducts geological mapping, geophysical surveys, mineral-resource expansion drilling, core relogging, target generation, environmental baseline work and related infrastructure and access planning to support the advancement of these Alaska properties. The Company’s projects are positioned within a district-scale land package exceeding 1,300 square kilometres in the Ambler Mining District, a prospective undeveloped polymetallic belt.
Valhalla Metals serves the mining, metals and critical-minerals supply-chain markets by identifying and advancing potential sources of copper, zinc, silver, gold and lead for industrial, electrification, infrastructure and precious-metals end uses. The Company operates through its Alaska-focused exploration business and holds project interests through Valhalla Metals AK Inc. Its common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol VMXX and on the OTCQB under the symbol VMXXF. Valhalla Metals was incorporated in British Columbia on April 13, 2011 as Mantra Capital Inc., subsequently operated as SolidusGold Inc., and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
In 2026, Valhalla completed the acquisition of the Smucker Project from Teck American Incorporated, a subsidiary of Teck Resources Limited, consolidating its two cornerstone projects in the Ambler Mining District. In consideration for the acquisition and assumption of related liabilities, Valhalla issued 44,813,642 subordinate voting shares to Teck and granted Teck a priority purchase right and right of last offer for concentrate produced from the Sun and Smucker properties, together with a 2.0% net smelter returns royalty on certain portions of the Smucker Project. Concurrently, the Company completed an oversubscribed non-brokered private placement of subscription receipts totaling approximately C$15 million, including investments of approximately C$1.75 million from Teck and C$1.7 million from an affiliate of Marubeni Corporation. Valhalla also commenced a fully funded 2026 exploration and resource-expansion drilling program at the Sun Project, testing down-dip and along-strike extensions of mineralization at the Main Sun and SW Sun deposits, while undertaking reconnaissance, mapping and baseline surveys at Smucker in preparation for future drilling.
