Virbac S.A. (VRBCF) manufactures and markets a comprehensive range of veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and services dedicated exclusively to animal health for companion animals and livestock; its core offerings include internal and external parasiticides such as collars and pipettes, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, dermatology products, dental hygiene solutions, diagnostic tests, nutrition and petfood, reproductive aids, anesthesia products, geriatrics treatments, electronic identification systems for pets, horses and exotic animals, and specialized solutions for aquaculture; the company serves veterinarians, farmers, and pet owners worldwide. Founded in 1968 by veterinarian Pierre-Richard Dick and headquartered in Carros, France, Virbac operates in more than 100 countries through 35 sales subsidiaries and production facilities in 10 countries including France, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, and Vietnam, with eight research and development centers across the United States, Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, France, Vietnam, Taiwan, and Australia; it employs approximately 6,400 people and generates nearly 60% of revenues outside France, with geographic sales distributed as Europe (40.8%), Latin America (15.9%), North America (13%), India/Africa/Middle East (12.5%), East Asia (10.1%), and Pacific (7.7%). Recent strategic expansions include the November 2023 acquisition of a majority stake in Globion, an Indian poultry vaccines specialist to strengthen its avian portfolio and leadership in India's animal health market; the April 2024 completion of the €280 million acquisition of Sasaeah from ORIX Corporation, establishing leadership in Japan's farm animal vaccines particularly cattle and adding pharmaceutical products across major species with production in Japan and Vietnam; and the December 2024 acquisition of Mopsan, its Turkish distributor of petfood and companion animal health products; additionally in April 2025 Virbac licensed therapeutic antibodies from MabGenesis for canine diseases, supporting ongoing innovation amid strong 2024 revenue growth of 13.6% at constant rates to €1,397.5 million driven by these acquisitions and organic performance.
