Business
Veridis Environment Ltd operates primarily in environmental infrastructure, specializing in waste management, water desalination, and renewable energy production in Israel. The company provides comprehensive waste management services including collection, transportation, separation, sorting, recycling, disposal of hazardous and organic waste, and landfilling. It produces recycled raw materials, compost, refuse-derived fuel, and alternative fuels, serving industrial and agricultural sectors. In the water sector, Veridis operates advanced desalination plants supplying renewable water to consumer, industrial, and agricultural markets. Its energy segment focuses on developing, owning, and operating renewable energy power stations such as biomass, biogas, and cogeneration plants, alongside energy efficiency projects and HVAC system installation and maintenance. Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Herzliya, Israel, Veridis is a subsidiary of Delek Automotive Systems Ltd. Recent major developments include securing funding from NETZSCH and DOEN Participaties to commercialize its MADSCAN technology, an innovative quality measurement standard for plastics recycling aimed at establishing a standardized quality control method for European plastic recycling. The company is rolling out MADSCAN pilot projects starting in the Netherlands and Germany, with plans for broader European expansion through 2025. Additionally, Veridis continues to lead Israel’s environmental projects with a focus on sustainability and circular economy principles, including ventures in recycled plastics and circular chains. It also plans to establish a power station in Hadera through a strategic partnership with OPC, holding a 20% stake. These initiatives mark key strategic expansions in its technological offerings and renewable energy assets, strengthening its position in environmental services and infrastructure sectors.
