Business
Direxion Work From Home ETF (WFH) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to the performance of the Solactive Remote Work Index. The fund provides exposure to approximately 40 U.S.-listed securities and American Depositary Receipts of companies facilitating remote work across four key technology pillars: cloud computing technologies; cybersecurity; online project and document management; and remote communications. Companies are selected using ARTIS, a proprietary natural language processing algorithm that analyzes public data such as annual reports, business descriptions, and financial news to identify the top 10 ranked firms in each pillar, with the index equally weighted at semi-annual rebalances. Launched on June 25, 2020, by Direxion Shares ETF Trust and managed by Rafferty Asset Management, LLC, the ETF targets investors seeking thematic exposure to flexible work trends, primarily through growth-oriented technology stocks with a focus on information technology (approximately 85%), communication services, and consumer discretionary sectors. Holdings include leading firms such as Zscaler Inc., Broadcom Inc., NVIDIA Corp., CrowdStrike Holdings Inc., and Cloudflare Inc., with the fund domiciled in the United States and listed on NYSE Arca. In a significant recent development, Direxion announced the closing of the WFH ETF, along with EVAV and XXCH, effective October 30, 2025, reflecting ongoing portfolio optimization amid market conditions. The fund continues regular income distributions, including a $0.47401 dividend paid on July 1, 2025, and maintains an expense ratio of 0.45% (gross/net), with assets under management around $15-20 million as of mid-2025. Direxion, the issuer founded in 1997 and headquartered at 1301 Avenue of the Americas in New York, New York, specializes in leveraged, inverse, and thematic ETFs across global markets.
