- Stardust Metal Corp. is a Canadian mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, evaluation and exploration of gold and copper properties, with primary operations in Ontario and Quebec. The Company’s principal gold assets are located in the Kirkland Lake gold district along the Cadillac Break in northeastern Ontario and include the McGarry Project, the Omega Project, the Kirkland West Project and the Goldie Project; McGarry includes a historic underground gold resource area, mining infrastructure and a historic tailings complex, while Omega and Kirkland West are prospective gold exploration properties. Stardust also holds exploration interests in the emerging Shebandowan gold district in Ontario and copper-focused assets in the Chibougamau region of Quebec, including the Ledden copper-gold project. In addition, the Company maintains a portfolio of strategic investments, including an interest associated with Metal Energy Corp.’s Manibridge Nickel Mine, a former Falconbridge-operated nickel mining property. Stardust targets precious- and base-metal mineralization through geological mapping, geophysical surveying, drilling, historical-data compilation, resource evaluation and project advancement, and does not operate producing mines. The Company was incorporated in 2001 and is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Formerly known as Mistango River Resources Inc., the Company changed its name to Stardust Metal Corp. in November 2025, consolidated its common shares on a one-for-five basis and adopted the ZIGY trading symbol as part of a strategic repositioning toward its Kirkland Lake asset base. Stardust entered into an option arrangement with Orecap Invest Corp. to acquire up to a 75% interest in the McGarry Project, which is located less than five kilometres from Omega; the arrangement contemplates an initial 50% interest through $13.0 million of cash milestone payments and exploration expenditures over four years, followed by an option to acquire an additional 25% interest. Recent operational initiatives include two drill programs at McGarry, continuing work to update historical mineral resource estimates and geological models for McGarry and Omega, and the June 2026 acquisition of 1.5% net smelter return royalties on both the Kirkland West and Omega projects for $1.0 million. In September 2026, Stardust’s common shares commenced trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol ZIGY and were delisted from the Canadian Securities Exchange; the Company also commenced expanded institutional and retail investor outreach while preparing further exploration drilling across its Kirkland Lake portfolio.
