Innovator Equity Defined Protection ETF – 1 Yr July (NYSE Arca: ZJUL) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investors with exposure to U.S. large-cap equities while pursuing 100% downside protection over a one-year outcome period beginning each July, subject to fund expenses and the performance of the underlying options strategy. The Fund principally invests in customized, exchange-traded flexible exchange options (FLEX Options) linked to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, constructing a defined-outcome profile that caps potential upside participation while seeking to limit losses over the applicable annual outcome period; it is designed for financial advisors and other investors seeking risk-managed equity exposure, capital-preservation-oriented portfolio solutions, and defined equity-return parameters. ZJUL is part of Innovator’s Equity Defined Protection ETF series, which offers July-reset outcome-period exposure and is distinct from traditional passive equity index ETFs because its return potential, protection objective, and upside cap are reset annually. The Fund is sponsored and advised by Innovator Capital Management LLC, operates in the U.S. exchange-traded-fund and asset-management industry, and carries an expense ratio of 0.79%. Innovator Capital Management, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois, develops and manages defined-outcome ETF strategies, including Buffer ETFs™, Defined Protection ETFs™, Dual Directional ETFs™, Defined Income ETFs™, Accelerated ETFs™, and 100% Buffer ETFs™, for individual and institutional investors and financial intermediaries. Innovator introduced the first Buffer ETFs in 2018 and has expanded its defined-outcome ETF suite across income, targeted-buffer, growth, and protection-oriented investment strategies. In April 2026, Goldman Sachs completed its approximately $2.0 billion acquisition of Innovator Capital Management; Innovator became wholly owned by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with its investment-management and service-provider arrangements continuing, and the transaction expanded Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s ETF platform to approximately 240 ETFs globally and about $90 billion of ETF assets under management.
