In recent major corporate developments, AIK Group entered into share purchase agreements in May 2026 to acquire an approximate 91.75% controlling stake in Podravska banka from 22 shareholders, including Assicurazioni Generali and Euroherc Osiguranje, in a transaction valuing the bank at approximately 46 million euros, subject to regulatory approvals from the Croatian National Bank and the European Central Bank and followed by a mandatory tender offer for the outstanding equity. The bank also maintains ongoing strategic partnerships with state development entities, including the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) and the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO), to provide state-guaranteed loan facilities and subsidized financing programs to domestic micro and SME enterprises.
