Business
Oliver Corporation manufactures and sells interior design products and furniture, providing one-stop space creation services that cover planning, design, procurement, manufacturing, and interior construction for offices, hotels, restaurants, commercial facilities, medical and welfare facilities, and public spaces. Founded in August 1967 and headquartered in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the company operates across Japan through a broad network of branches and sales offices and serves corporate, institutional, and commercial customers. Its core product lineup includes task chairs; desks; sofas; lobby chairs; tables; outdoor furniture; cabinets; executive and reception furniture; kids’ furniture; private booths; custom furniture; and related interior equipment, alongside design, project management, and turnkey interior fit-out services. Oliver also emphasizes digital interior solutions through CG presentations; virtual reality visualization; an in-house operating system for procurement management; and smart furniture development, positioning itself as a “digital interior solution provider.” Recent strategic developments include the launch and expansion of several new offerings, including the WonW Chair in 2025, the FSC-certified furniture series “+U” Vol. 5 and a 2026 general furniture catalog, as well as the rollout of a prevention-medicine dedicated website and brochure in 2025. The company also introduced the metaverse-based design platform Oliverse® and a 2025 communication system initiative, while continuing to expand its zero-carbon furniture and FSC-certified product line. Operationally, Oliver opened and expanded key offices in Tokyo Nihonbashi and other locations, broadened its exhibition and healthcare market activities, and in August 2026 received approval for listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market, with trading scheduled to begin on September 16, 2026. The listing involved a secondary offering by existing shareholders rather than a primary fundraising round, marking a major corporate change after its earlier privatization structure.
