Agilent Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: A) provides instruments, software, services, and consumables for the life sciences, diagnostics, chemical analysis, and applied markets. The company offers a broad portfolio of products and services including gas chromatography and liquid chromatography systems; mass spectrometry and molecular spectroscopy instruments; microarrays, automation, and informatics solutions; bioreagents, FISH probes, target enrichment, and next-generation sequencing tools; immunohistochemistry and pathology solutions; genomics, proteomics, and cell analysis platforms; sample preparation, GC and HPLC columns, spectrometry supplies, and consumables; as well as laboratory management services encompassing enterprise asset management, compliance support, training, and CrossLab virtual assist for remote technical support. Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Agilent operates globally in more than 100 countries, serving analytical laboratories, pharmaceutical, biopharma, clinical diagnostics, environmental, forensics, food, energy, academia, and government sectors; it was spun off from Hewlett-Packard in 1999. Recent developments include the completion of its $925 million acquisition of BIOVECTRA, Inc., a Canada-based contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in biologics, active pharmaceutical ingredients, sterile fill-finish, plasmid DNA, mRNA, lipid nanoparticles, antibody-drug conjugates, and high-potency APIs, enhancing Agilent's CDMO capabilities for gene editing and therapeutics; a $7 million investment to modernize R&D and applications labs in Delaware; the launch of the Agilent Innovation Hub in partnership with the University of Melbourne; a strategic collaboration with SeqOne for liquid biopsy data analysis in oncology; and expansions such as a $725 million nucleic acid therapeutics facility in Frederick, Colorado, alongside new product launches driving growth in specialty CDMO services for siRNA and GLP-1 modalities.
