Business
Aurora Cannabis Inc. produces and distributes medical and consumer cannabis products worldwide from its headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where the company was founded in 2006. The company offers pharmaceutical-grade cannabis including dried flower, oils, extracts, capsules, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, and topicals under brands such as Drift, San Rafael '71, Daily Special, Tasty's, MedReleaf, CraftPlant, Farm Gas, and Sourdough; it also provides patient counseling, outreach services, and plant propagation through its controlling interest in Bevo Farms Ltd., with operations spanning Canada, Europe (including Germany, Poland, and Denmark), Australia, Latin America, and other international markets. Aurora Cannabis operates through Canadian cannabis and plant propagation segments, focusing on GMP-certified production for medical patients and premium adult-use consumers while leveraging advanced cultivation facilities and a hybrid manufacturing network that incorporates third-party supply. In recent developments, Aurora Cannabis expanded its partnerships with a three-year $27 million supply agreement with SNDL Inc. for premium flower from New Brunswick, strengthening its hybrid manufacturing strategy following record growth in international medical cannabis; the company launched its first German-grown products with Demecan and highest-THC medical offerings in Poland, including Farm Gas (27% THC) and Sourdough (29% THC); it announced a distribution partnership with Leafio Australia to broaden access for brands like MedReleaf and CraftPlant after acquiring MedReleaf Australia in February 2024; and introduced innovative medical cannabis-infused ready-to-drink beverages like VACAY's Strawberry Pineapple Tropical Soda for veteran patients.
