Business
Gensource Potash Corporation operates as a fertilizer development company focused on potash production through innovative, modular, and environmentally sustainable facilities that produce muriate of potash (MOP) without salt tailings or brine ponds; its flagship Tugaske Project in Saskatchewan's Vanguard Area targets an initial annual output of at least 250,000 tonnes of MOP, supported by a 10-year offtake agreement with HELM Fertilizers Corp., a subsidiary of HELM AG, and secured by a CAD$280 million senior debt facility underwritten by KfW IPEX-Bank and Société Générale. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, the company advances vertically integrated mine-to-farm structures emphasizing food security via affordable potash supply, with operations centered in Saskatchewan's potash-rich Vanguard region including subsurface mineral permits and ongoing resource expansion efforts. Recent developments include the execution of a land purchase agreement in June 2025 for 206 acres of surface lands essential to the Tugaske Project's main plant construction, extensions to convertible debentures and promissory notes maturities in 2024 and 2025 to support financing, completion of the 2023 Vanguard North 3D seismic program for resource confirmation and Tugaske expansion potential, and a strategic business relationship with Nekaneet First Nation announced in 2023.
