Business
Austral Gold Limited is a gold and silver mining company engaged in the exploration, development, production and processing of precious metals in the Americas, with operating and exploration interests in Chile and Argentina and equity exposure to additional projects in the region. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Sydney, Australia, the company is dual listed on the ASX and TSX Venture Exchange and operates as a subsidiary of Inversiones Financieras Del Sur S.A. Austral Gold’s core assets and activities include the Guanaco/Amancaya mine complex in northern Chile; the Casposo/Manantiales mine complex in San Juan, Argentina; the Paleocene Belt exploration projects in Chile; the Triassic Choiyoi Belt exploration projects in Argentina; the Rawhide Mine in Nevada; the Mercur Project in Utah; and an equity investment in Unico Silver in Santa Cruz, Argentina. The company focuses on selling gold and silver production, advancing brownfield and greenfield exploration, and expanding processing capacity and mine life across its portfolio. Recent developments include the completion of a A$8.456 million private placement in February 2026 to fund exploration and processing expansion, the restart and continued ramp-up of the Casposo Mine in Argentina, commencement of an approximately 8,500-metre drilling program at Casposo-Manantiales, filing of the 2026 half-year report showing materially higher production and revenue, and appointment of Jorge Sanguin as Senior Vice President of Operations effective 1 September 2026.
