Business
AIM ImmunoTech Inc. is a leading immuno-pharmaceutical company dedicated to the research and development of innovative therapies for a variety of cancers, viral infections, and immune system disorders. The company's flagship investigational drug, Ampligen (rintatolimod), is a synthetic double-stranded RNA molecule operating as a Toll-like Receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist. Ampligen is being explored in multiple clinical trials for various solid tumor cancers, including a primary focus on metastatic pancreatic cancer, where it is being evaluated in combination with other immunotherapies. It is also undergoing assessment for applications in conditions such as myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) and post-COVID conditions, with positive preliminary data reported in these areas. Ampligen is commercially approved in Argentina for treating severe chronic fatigue syndrome. Beyond Ampligen, the company offers Alferon N Injection, a natural alpha interferon formulation approved for treating refractory genital warts. AIM ImmunoTech actively engages in strategic collaborations with major cancer research centers and has secured patents for Ampligen's use in combination therapies for various cancers and for long-COVID treatments in key markets like Japan and Europe. Headquartered in Ocala, Florida, the company, formerly known as Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc., rebranded to AIM ImmunoTech Inc. in 2019, reflecting its core mission in amplified immunological modulation. The company continues to advance its pipeline with an emphasis on addressing unmet medical needs in oncology and debilitating chronic conditions.
