Alta Equipment Group Inc. owns and operates one of North America's largest integrated equipment dealership platforms, providing sales, rentals, parts, and service support for specialized material handling, construction, and environmental processing equipment through over 85 locations across multiple U.S. states including Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New England states, New York, Virginia, Nevada, Florida, and Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec. The company, founded in 1984 and headquartered in Livonia, Michigan, serves diverse sectors such as manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, construction, infrastructure, mining, agriculture, recycling, and waste management via three primary segments: Material Handling, offering lift trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, automated guided vehicles, and brands like Hyster-Yale; Construction Equipment, encompassing heavy and compact earthmoving machinery, excavators, loaders, cranes, aerial work platforms, paving and asphalt equipment from OEMs including Volvo CE and JCB; and Master Distribution, focusing on crushing, screening, and environmental processing equipment distributed to sub-dealers. Alta Equipment Group maintains a rental fleet exceeding 22,000 units, employs over 1,300 factory-trained technicians with 700 mobile service vehicles, and delivers comprehensive aftermarket solutions including preventative maintenance, repairs, fleet management, warehouse design, and automated system integration. Recent developments include the 2022 launch of Alta eMobility for turnkey fleet electrification solutions; the 2021 acquisition of Midwest Mine Supply to bolster mining and aggregates capabilities; entry into the Cyngn autonomous vehicle dealer network in July 2024 to distribute self-driving industrial tugs like the DriveMod Tugger; ongoing integration of acquired businesses and expansion of high-margin parts and service operations as of late 2024; and declaration of a quarterly Series A Preferred Stock dividend of $0.625 per depositary share payable July 31, 2025.
