Business
Amal Holdings A.D. Ltd. provides nursing, rehabilitation, healthcare and social-care services in Israel through a network of subsidiaries and operating units. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Ra’anana, Israel, the Company serves elderly people, individuals requiring long-term care, people with physical, intellectual, developmental or mental-health disabilities, children with special needs, Holocaust survivors and families, as well as public-sector and institutional customers. Its operations encompass in-home nursing and personal-care services under Israel’s National Insurance Institute long-term-care framework; recruitment, placement and ongoing support of foreign caregivers for home-care patients; geriatric medical centers and nursing homes; geriatric rehabilitation; skilled nursing for younger patients; psychiatric hospitalization and community-based mental-health rehabilitation; institutional hospice care; advanced dialysis treatment; complex-care and chronic-wound treatment; dementia-focused care settings; and independent and assisted-living housing for seniors. The Company also provides physiotherapy and orthopedic rehabilitation services; day-care centers for seniors; home-based support, mentoring and rehabilitative companion services for mental-health service recipients; balanced-home programs designed to avert psychiatric hospitalization during acute crises; supported housing, warm homes and community-living frameworks for people with disabilities; foster-family support services; rehabilitative day-care centers for infants and toddlers; communication kindergartens for children aged three to seven; special-education schools for children and young adults with communication and emotional-behavioral challenges; supported-employment placement and vocational-integration services; psychological, individual, couples and family therapy; sexual-social therapeutic programs for people and children with special needs and their families; guidance services for children of disabled Israel Defense Forces veterans and Ministry of Defense beneficiaries; National Insurance Institute “Yad Mechavenet” medical-committee preparation centers; and implementation services related to Israel’s national suicide-prevention program. The Company operates principally in Israel, with home-care services delivered through a nationwide branch network and residential, medical, rehabilitation, education and community-care facilities serving local populations. Recent strategic developments include the 2024 acquisition of A.D.N.M., a provider of services for people with disabilities, for approximately ILS 51 million, with the acquired activity incorporated into Amal’s Adam division, expanding the Company’s special-populations platform; and the January 2025 purchase by Migdal Insurance and Financial Holdings of an additional approximately 6.1% interest in Amal from FIMI Opportunity Funds for approximately ILS 96 million, increasing Migdal’s ownership to about 16%. Amal subsequently completed its Tel Aviv Stock Exchange flotation in November 2025 and commenced trading as Amal Holdings, broadening its public-market shareholder base while continuing to pursue growth through expansion of healthcare, home-care, rehabilitation and social-service operations.
