Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) designs, develops and sells high-performance and adaptive computing solutions, including central processing units (CPUs), graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), adaptive system-on-chips (SoCs), accelerated processing units (APUs), data processing units (DPUs), smart network interface cards (SmartNICs) and related software platforms such as ROCm; offers leadership products across segments including Data Center with AMD EPYC server processors, AMD Instinct AI accelerators (MI300, MI350 and MI355X series), Pensando networking; Client with AMD Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics for desktops, laptops and AI PCs; Gaming with semi-custom SoCs for consoles, Radeon GPUs and Ryzen Threadripper; and Embedded with processors, FPGAs (Versal and UltraScale+), system-on-modules for industrial, networking and automotive applications. Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, with major operations in Austin, Texas, the company serves worldwide markets encompassing cloud computing, enterprise data centers, AI infrastructure, personal computing, gaming, edge devices and embedded systems. In recent developments, AMD announces strategic partnerships including with OpenAI for 6 gigawatts of Instinct GPUs starting 2026, Oracle for Helios rack-scale AI superclusters with 50,000 MI450 GPUs from Q3 2026, Cisco and G42 for UAE AI clusters, IBM and Zyphra for multimodal AI, and Tech Mahindra for Cloud BlazeTech; completes divestiture of ZT Systems manufacturing to Sanmina following the prior $4.9 billion acquisition; launches ROCm 7 software, Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series, EPYC Embedded 4005 and Ryzen Embedded 9000; reports record Q3 2025 revenue of $9.2 billion, up 36% year-over-year, driven by Data Center and Client growth; and secures U.S. Department of Energy contracts for Lux and Discovery AI supercomputers.
