Business
Anfield Energy Inc. Anfield Energy Inc. engages in the exploration, development, and near-term production of uranium and vanadium mineral properties in the United States. The company owns the Shootaring Canyon Mill, one of only three licensed, permitted, and constructed conventional uranium mills in the country, located in Garfield County, Utah; it operates a portfolio of advanced-stage projects including the Velvet-Wood Uranium Project in Utah, the Slick Rock Uranium and Vanadium Project in Colorado, the West Slope Project covering 6,913 acres of past-producing property in Colorado, and the JD-8 high-grade conventional uranium and vanadium mine in Montrose County, Colorado. Anfield Energy focuses on supplying clean, carbon-free energy fuels to domestic markets through its hub-and-spoke operating model centered on the Shootaring Canyon Mill, targeting nuclear utilities and energy producers in the U.S. with resources from historic mining districts in Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, the company changed its name from Anfield Resources Inc. to Anfield Energy Inc. in December 2017. Recent developments include the submission of a permitting application on November 19, 2025, to restart the fully permitted JD-8 uranium mine targeting operations in the second half of 2026; the November 13, 2025, order of eight custom underground haul trucks to support production ramp-up at the Velvet-Wood Mine; and the company's endorsement of the U.S. government's November 10, 2025, designation of uranium as a critical mineral, which unlocks federal funding and accelerates permitting for domestic projects.
